A Fun and Dynamic Learning Experience

Founded in 2017 in Po Leung Kuk Laws Foundation College, in line with the global trend of promoting Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), we plan to introduce our students to the exciting and challenging task of controlling an airplane. It is not as easy as it looks in movies or video games. A vast amount of knowledge is required just to keep an aircraft at a stable altitude, let alone go in desired directions.

The Team aims to give students a taste of flying, with basic training on the required knowledge.

DIVERSE LEARNING AREAS

We continue to explore new ideas to keep The Team vibrant and exciting. These include integration of more sophisticated hardware (e.g., VR) or partnering with other schools and the HKACC. We are also looking into cooperation with private airline companies to provide professional training to selected members. Our ultimate goal is to promote the passion and interest in science and aviation to more students. Once their curiosity is sparked, they will certainly learn much more. We hope to nurture enthusiasts in this area, and we hope to see some of our members becoming future leaders in the industry one day.

We will organize workshops to let students build their own hardware (Plane models, Flight instruments, etc) as well as Pilot Sharing Sessions to allow our students to learn about the Aviation Industry in Hong Kong. We are also making plans to partner with the Hong Kong Air Cadet Corps (HKACC) to give students more exposures to Civil Aviation in Hong Kong, the Government Flying Service and Air Traffic Control.

Students can get insights into different areas:

•Aviation History

•Airmanship

•Aviation Engineering

•Air Traffic Control

•Principle of Flight

•Civil Aviation in Hong Kong

•Government Flying Service

•Aviation Physics and Mathematics
